Cookie Policy

This policy lists every cookie and similar technology used on bwcounter.com, with the purpose, duration and provider of each. The tables are generated directly from the website’s configuration, so they cannot differ from what really happens: a service that is not listed here cannot load, as it is also blocked by the page’s security policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies are covered too: browser local storage, pixels and scripts that read information from your device. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work; the others may be used only with your consent (art. 4(1) of Romanian Law 506/2004 and art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC).
The rules the site follows
- Before you choose, no analytics or advertising cookie or script is loaded.
- “Accept all” and “Reject all” have equal weight; you can also choose by category. No optional category is pre-ticked.
- Continuing to browse is not consent.
- Your choice is valid for 6 months. We ask again earlier only if we add a new service.
- Every choice is recorded as proof (see below) and you can change it at any time.
- If the site uses only strictly necessary cookies, no banner is shown, as the law does not require consent for them.

Google Consent Mode
If we enable Google services, we use Google Consent Mode v2 in its basic form: until you consent, Google tags are not even downloaded, so nothing is sent to Google. The defaults are “denied” for analytics, advertising, user data and ad personalisation. If you accept analytics only, advertising stays denied.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the forms may not work.
Withdrawing consent
Withdrawing is as easy as consenting: from “Cookie settings” or on My consent, with a single click on “Withdraw consent”. We immediately delete the analytics and advertising cookies set on our domain and stop loading those services. Cookies set by third parties on their own domains (e.g. doubleclick.net, facebook.com) are deleted from your browser settings.
Proof of consent
For every choice we record on the server a random identifier, date and time, the options, the version of this policy and the list of active services, language, device type and a keyed hash of the IP address (the IP address itself is not stored). Records are kept for 3 years from the last change of your choice. On My consent you can see the history and download the proof as JSON.
Changes
When we add or remove a service, this policy is updated automatically and receives a new version; earlier versions remain available at the end of the page, and for a new service we ask for your consent again.
